Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Hunter Haliniak is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Loʻi Collective Foundation, bringing a lifelong connection to athletics, volleyball, officiating, and service to Hawaiʻi’s communities.

A graduate of Roosevelt High School, Hunter distinguished himself as a student-athlete, earning recognition as Boys Volleyball MVP and Senior Athlete, along with an Oceanic Cable Scholarship. He continued his volleyball career at the collegiate level, beginning with the University of Hawaiʻi men’s volleyball program before transferring to the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), where he continued competing and earned his degree in History.

Hunter’s connection to volleyball continued well beyond his playing career. He has become a respected volleyball official, working matches from the youth and high school levels through high-level NCAA competition. In 2025, he was voted the Hawaiian Island Volleyball Festival’s Best Official, recognizing his knowledge of the game, professionalism, and ability to connect with athletes and coaches.

As CEO of The Loʻi Collective Foundation, Hunter helps guide the organization’s mission of creating opportunities through sport, movement, wellness, culture, and community engagement. His experience as both a collegiate athlete and official has been especially valuable in the development of TLC’s Moku O Keawe Junior Officials Program, which provides young people with opportunities to learn officiating while developing confidence, leadership, responsibility, and workforce skills.

Hunter believes sports can provide opportunities that extend far beyond competition. Through The Loʻi Collective, he is committed to giving back, opening doors, mentoring the next generation, and helping Hawaiʻi’s youth discover pathways they may not have known were possible.

For Hunter, the goal is simple: create opportunities, develop leaders, and give the next generation a chance to succeed.
